#STOPSUCKING

No you don’t suck, but plastic straws do. We've been following Lonely Whale lately and their campaign #StopSucking to make people quit using single-use plastic straws. Why?

500.000.000 plastic straws are used and thrown away EVERY SINGLE DAY, and that's in the US alone. Imagine what the total is worldwide! Sadly, many of these straws end up in the ocean. Polluting and causing harm to its inhabitants and the marine ecosystem. If allowed to continue; then by 2050 the ocean will contain more plastic than fish [straws, q-tips & various other waste plastics]. How sickening is that?

Another company actively conserving the ocean is 4Ocean. Every bracelet they sell, made from recycled materials, helps fund the removal of 1lb [0.45kg] of trash from the ocean.

Lonely Whale and 4Ocean have our full support, and we hope their campaign has a butterfly effect that reaches worldwide, to make people and businesses change their ways for a greener tomorrow (and a bluer ocean).
